Campus Community Fund
Investing together in one ecosystem to achieve more impact. That is why a Campus Community Fund is important.
The Campus Community Fund was launched on 1 September 2020. The platform for financing acts as a flywheel to convert the available knowledge and skills on Campus Groningen, and in the region even more effectively into important innovations. The strategy has been shaped by Campus Groningen and its stakeholders, Rabobank Stad en Midden Groningen and companies on the Campus. For the growth of innovations and economic activities, an investment strategy of approximately 500 million has been recorded in the Campus Community Fund.
Drivers for Growth
The investment strategy of the CCF expects strong developments within the five regional core sectors-agri-food, energy, health, chemistry and digital economy, to invest in real estate and infrastructure, facilities and services, and business activities on Campus Groningen. Projects based on these core sectors and with the characteristics: power of combination in collaboration, cross-fertilization, economic and social impact, (inter)national character and physical campus development are seen as the 'Drivers for Growth', to which the CCF serves as a financing platform.
Open for business
Also in 2021, this platform for ecosystem financing aims to give substance to the ambitions of and around the innovative ecosystem Campus Groningen, partners and stakeholders. The portfolio of examples already built up (Innovation Center Chemistry & Engineering, Polyganics, SG Papertronics) in which the Campus Community Fund has been of value, stimulates ambitious expectations.
